This soft case was a great value - much less expensive than others I looked at in local stores, and it does everything I need (which isn't much - just protect the computer from scratches and bumps). It's large, which is good for a 17" laptop with keypad.

I just received my laptop sleeve and it is just what I expected. I have a Dell Inspiron 17 inch. The sleeve stretches to a perfect fit. Yes, it does smell but I put it outside and am sure that smell will go away after a few days. The price is way below other sleeves and this one gives great protection to my laptop and is not bulky, perfect for putting in your suitcase or other bag for traveling.

if you're looking at this neoprene sleeve, you're probably doing the following:
1.) trying to find something that your new laptop will fit in
2.) trying to find something cheap but still protective.
This sleeve does both!
I own a beefy 17-inch widescreen dell and the bag stretches to fit it with no problem. My brother owns a belkin sleeve for a slightly smaller laptop, and we've found the build quality to be identical. considering there's a $25 price difference at the point-of-sale for me, this was a no brainier to try.
in regards to other reviewers, there was a slight chemical smell, but nothing that didn't fade after a couple of days of use. no more smelly than a new wetsuit or something.

This sleeve does exactly what I need it to do -- protect my laptop when traveling. It's easy to put on and remove. Prepare to air it out because of an odor resembling airplane glue, which completely goes away. Bonus: you can turn it inside out for a different color.

I searched in stores for a laptop sleeve that would fit my Toshiba 17" laptop. I couldn't find a sleeve big enough for my laptop in retail stores. Also, the stores wanted a lot more money for these sleeves. I ordered two of these one for me, and one for my husband.
